Main objectives

The Long Term Activity (LTA) 2025-2027 Digital Pedagogy in the Age of AI aims to determine the most effective ways to support the development of digital competencies and the purposeful and methodical use of digital tools, learning materials, and content in teaching and learning within the School Education (SCH) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors. 

• Enhancing digital pedagogy in schools and VET institutions 

• Supporting educators in integrating AI tools meaningfully into teaching and learning 

• Fostering evidence-based TCAs to strengthen practice and strategy

Target audience(s)

The LTA aims to reach three levels in School Education (SE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET): 

• Micro (classroom) – teachers, educational technologists, digital educators, staff working with disadvantaged learners, newcomers to Erasmus+. 

• Meso (institutional) – school/VET leaders, teacher educators, project coordinators, education networks. 

• Macro (system/policy) – Erasmus+ National Agencies and its staff (Digiptal Contact Points). 

Main activities

• Research & Reporting: Exploring best practices in digital pedagogy and AI integration focused Erasmus+ projects. Highlighting support gaps and areas of achievement.
• Capacity Building: Expert pool of digital education specialists supporting activity delivery. Meso level focus, upskilling leaders and cascaing to micro levels. Sustained NA-staff support from expert colleagues in TCA delivery, improvement and transfer of knowledge.
• Communication & Dissemination: Promoting innovative practice, and showcasing flagship techniques, frameworks and support.
• Training & Support Events: Transnational TCAs – Targeted events for meso-level actors, sectoral groups, newcomers, and underrepresented participants (e.g. study visits, thematic seminars, and contact seminars). National TCAs – Local multiplier and follow-up events in national languages for broader reach. Adaptable TCA structures – Reusable formats delivered to different target groups, sector and stakeholder specific seminars and study visits balanced with mixed group events.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Consistent data collection across partnership to review and develop the LTA with continuous improvement towards common objectives.
