About SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA)

At our Recourse Centre we support youth cooperation between the programme countries of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine as well as to a limited extend Russia and Norway.

Our aims and fields of work

Aims

  • to raise visibility and awareness of the value of international youth cooperation between the programme and partner countries of Eastern Europe and Caucasus;
  • to promote possibilities offered by the European youth programmes for cooperation with the neighbouring partner countries;
  • to support youth workers and leaders in contact making, establishment of partnerships as well as development of their competences to implement quality international youth projects;
  • to provide support and expertise to the network of National Agencies of the Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps as well as the European Commission.

Areas of activities

INFORMATION ACTIVITIES - enabling organisations from the region to have easy access to the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps and promoting youth cooperation with counterparts in the countries of the both programmes;

DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES – partnership building seminars and study visits aimed at building long-lasting cooperations between youth organisations;

TRAINING EVENTS - competence development of youth workers, leaders and trainers in the area of non-formal learning in the youth field.

SUPPORT IN EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS – support to structural development of the programme in the region.

Strategic partnerships

BEYOND BORDERS supports development of the international youth cooperation between neighbouring partner countries and programme countries of the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps.

EUROPE GOES LOCAL is a cooperation platform for quality development in local youth work through advocacy, exchange of knowledge, peer learning and networking.

YOUTH@WORK offers collaborative pathways to youth employability and entrepreneurship.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR INCLUSION aims to increase the participation of young people with fewer opportunities and facilitate access of new organisations in the European youth programmes.

Other long-term cooperations

ADVENTURE EDUCATION is our strategic field of involvement to develop youth workers and trainers competencies in the Adventure Education pedagogy. We organise adventure centred learning experiences. We support youth organisations to bring creativity and innovation based on emotions in the learning process.

TRAINERS LEARNING COMMUNITY offers youth trainers from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus partner region possibilities to develop their professional competences.

HOP ONLINE LEARNING fosters online and blended learning in European youth programmes. HOP offers growing number of online courses targeting different aspects of European youth work. It also brings together a community of stakeholders to work together on expanding the quality in youth projects.
