Description

Volunteers are the backbone of grassroots sport. This programme offers participants the

opportunity to exchange experiences, discover good practices, and develop practical skills to

enhance volunteer engagement and sustainability within their own sporting contexts.

Objectives

The contact making seminar aims to:

  • Discuss the vital role of volunteers in grassroots, community, and organisational sport;
  • Share experiences and explore best practices across Europe;
  • Develop deeper understanding of the social, educational and community building value of volunteering in grassroots sport;
  • Create networking opportunities for participants;
  • Increase understanding of the Erasmus+ Sport Programme, with a focus on opportunities under Sport Staff Mobility;
  • Provide guidance and inspiration for developing Erasmus+ sport projects that support volunteering initiatives.

Methodology

The programme will include:

  • Interactive workshops
  • Group discussions and peer learning
  • Practical exercises and collaborative activities
  • Space for networking and partnership building

Expected outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will:
