Activity objectives

The activity aims to:

  • Deepen the understanding towards the needs of young people when it comes to volunteering: how do they engage? Why? What are the important topics and challenges they can relate to (at local, European and Global level)? Who are their role models when it comes to social engagement?
  • Bring different volunteers together to explore various formats of volunteering, identify the new trends in the European Volunteering landscape and the challenges faced during their projects.
  • Discuss how to increase the impact during and after their volunteering experience.
  • Explore the potential of the ESC in the future and work on concrete ideas
  • Give an insight on EU youth policies and programmes to the participants.
  • Empower young people, through a training component, to get in contact with local youth, community, organisations, authorities.
  • Give young people the tools (and opportunity) to get to know and to contribute to the  work of Organisations, NAs and SALTOs .
