Activity objectives
The objectives of the CoP are:
- To develop a shared understanding of volunteering impact on young people, organisations, and communities in the Euro-Med context.
- To co-create a practical tool to assess and strengthen the impact of volunteering, based on real practices.
- To foster Euro-Med cooperation by connecting practitioners and encouraging future partnerships and joint initiatives.
Description
SALTO EuroMed is looking for participants to its future South-Med Volunteering Community of Practices. This year, the CoP will focus on the impact of volunteering on the organisations, the communities and the volunteers.
The members of the CoP will be actively engaged in discussing approaches to create and assess impact of volunteering schemes on different levels. The members are asked to take an active role in defining, assessing, and eventually disseminating practices & approaches connected to local realities. This is not a passive learning space, it is a working group of practitioners who will:
- Share experiences
- Reflect critically on current volunteering practices
- Co-create practical outputs that can be used in daily work
What will be the topics:
- Impact on young people: skills, empowerment, inclusion
- Impact on organisations: capacity-building and sustainability
- Impact on local communities: relevance and long-term change
- Euro-Med dynamics: partnerships, equity, and mobility
What will be the outcome:
- A practical resource (toolkit / framework / guidelines)
- Concrete case studies
- A network for future collaboration
There will be 5 online meetings of 2 hours, attendance to all the meetings is requested for the CoP to reach its aim.

- 12th June 3 PM CEST – 5 PM CEST
- 1st July 3 PM CEST – 5 PM CEST
- 15th July 3 PM CEST – 5 PM CEST
- 9th September 3 PM CEST – 5 PM CEST
- 23rd September 3 PM CEST – 5 PM CEST
