At SALTO EuroMed, we promote Euro-Mediterranean youth cooperation by making European programmes more accessible to Southern Mediterranean countries, with a focus on intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and non-formal learning.

Our mission is to support organisations, youth actors, National Agencies, other SALTO centres and various stakeholders in developing high-quality projects that encourage mutual understanding, social engagement, and positive social change. We build bridges between both shores of the Mediterranean to foster exchange and cooperation

We provide expertise through training, educational resources, intercultural learning tools, and tailored support. Together, we build bridges between cultures and empower young people to take an active role in their communities.

We are hosted in ASC (Agence du Service Civique) since January 2016 and we are part of the French National Agency for the Erasmus+ Youth and Sport & European Solidarity Corps programmes.

Dialogue is the beginning of transformation—join the EuroMed network and become a driver of change!

Aims & Strategies

Our Aims

  • Bridge Euro-Mediterranean cooperation – We connect the two shores of the Mediterranean, making European youth programmes—especially Erasmus+ Youth & Sport and the European Solidarity Corps—more accessible to Southern Mediterranean countries.

  • Strengthen youth capacities – We equip youth workers, trainers, and organisations with the knowledge, methods, and tools they need to design and implement high-quality projects.

  • Promote training and networking – We organise thematic trainings, seminars, study visits, and partnership-building activities to foster cooperation and learning between Programme and Partner Countries on different priorities of the EU Youth Programmes.

  • Support educational resources – We develop and share toolkits, publications, and research in multiple languages to support intercultural learning and youth work.

  • Implement and support the European Solidarity Corps in the South-Med – We coordinate the ESC Quality Label process in the region, train local tutors, support the development of host organisations, deliver online trainings for EU volunteers hosted in the region, and monitor labelled organisations to ensure impactful and high-quality volunteering projects.
