Aims and Strategies

Our Aims

We aim to promote democratic participation rooted in EU values by inspiring and supporting the Programmes’ stakeholders to create a positive impact on society.

We envision a Europe where all individuals and groups have the right, the means, the space, the opportunity, and the support to actively engage in democratic life and influence decision-making.

Our Strategies

Youth Participation Strategy

The Youth Participation Strategy has been developed to strengthen young people’s engagement in democratic life through the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes.

The Strategy defines youth participation in democratic life, outlines its various forms and key stakeholders, and identifies how it can be supported through the programmes. It builds on lessons from previous programme cycles to help achieve the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy and the European Youth Goals related to participation.

The Youth Participation Strategy is intended for all stakeholders involved in supporting the implementation of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. It is implemented with the support of the Youth Participation Strategy Co-Steering Group throughout the 2021–2027 cycle of the Programmes.
