Barbara Eglitis has built her career around strengthening and supporting volunteering programmes. She has done a voluntary service in an Arab Youth Organization in Israel, where she gained valuable experience in international volunteering, mentoring and intercultural exchange. As CEO of one of Austria’s oldest and largest volunteering organizations, she focused on inclusion, supporting over 200 volunteers of different abilities and ages in their service across four continents. Since 2019, she has worked at the Austrian National Agency, and since 2021 at the SALTO European Solidarity Corps, advancing volunteering structures at the European level. She is committed to fostering personal growth and building inclusive communities where everyone can contribute.
