We contribute to the capacity-building and recognition of learning in youth work and volunteering across Europe.
We support the National Agencies and youth work practitioners in developing and implementing the European Training Strategy (ETS) and Youthpass.
We focus on improving the quality of youth work and on making learning in youth work more visible and valued. We help trainers and youth workers grow their competences and understand their impact. We support young people through meaningful non-formal learning experiences.
We do this by building the capacities of youth workers, trainers, other practitioners, and National Agency staff through clear, accessible, and competence-based approaches, while also providing tools and spaces to reflect on, discuss, and further develop youth work as a practice.
We work to:
- strengthen professional development in the youth field
- promote the recognition of non-formal and informal learning
- advocate for a competence-based approach in youth work
- highlight the value of learning within youth work
- help organisations and practitioners improve the quality of their learning activities
Ultimately, we want youth work to be recognised for the meaningful learning experiences it creates for young people.
To reach our aims, we focus on practical support for people and organisations in youth work. Our work is shaped by two core strategies: the European Training Strategy (ETS) and the Youthpass Strategy. We shape and implement both in collaboration with youth work stakeholders.
