Youthpass is a recognition tool for non-formal and informal learning in youth projects. It helps young people, youth workers, and volunteers describe their learning outcomes and reflect on how they grow through the projects they participate in.
Developed for projects within the European youth programmes, Youthpass recognises participation and learning in the different programme opportunities.
Youthpass makes learning visible through:
- a certificate that recognises participation as an educational experience,
- a process that supports the reflection and learning throughout the project,
- a strategy that strengthens the recognition of non-formal and informal learning across Europe.

Recognition of learning in youth work has different, interconnected dimensions, ranging from personal recognition to social, formal, and political recognition. Youthpass aims to respond to these expectations by supporting reflection, making learning visible, and strengthening the recognition of non-formal learning across Europe.
