WE NEET YOU: Seminar on Pathways for NEET Youth
Young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) face diverse and often interconnected barriers to social inclusion. This seminar aims to strengthen the competences of youth workers by exploring the challenges faced by NEET youth, sharing good practices and discussing practical approaches to outreach, engagement and empowerment.
After this seminar, you will gain a better understanding of the NEET demographic, learn about intervention strategies and have more resources to address NEET-related issues.
What is this activity?
This activity is part of a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) organized by the Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ & ESC. TCA is a tool for National Agencies to support the Erasmus+ Program and enhance its impact.

Objectives:
- To deepen participants' understanding of the needs and challenges of NEET youth.
- To explore effective engagement strategies for reaching young people with fewer opportunities.
- To exchange good practices, tools and experiences from different national and organisational contexts.
- To identify pathways that support the social inclusion, employability and active participation of NEET youth.
Target Group:
- Youth workers and youth leaders,
- Youth researchers,
- Social workers, representatives of social services,
- Local authorities/policy makers responsible for social provision
- Project managers of all experience levels, interested in NEET youth.
Methodology:
The seminar will combine expert presentations, panel discussions and peer exchange to encourage reflection and the sharing of experiences. Interactive sessions will provide participants with practical insights, good practices and opportunities to discuss challenges and approaches to working with NEET youth in different contexts.
